From the President: Our "Artist’s Flea Market" is coming up quickly. On Saturday, Oct. 3 we will have the Community Yard Sale at the SS Dixon Primary School from 8 to 1. We still need volunteers to work, to bring food items, and we need materials to sell. We are being featured in the Beaches to Woodlands’ Oct. flyers and publicity, so we need to make this a good looking effort. If you have not yet committed to helping in some way, please contact Lorraine Cathey (983-8310 ) or Janie Seal (994-2424) and let them know how you are going to help out. Sign up sheets will also be available at the Sept. meeting.
REMEMBER - THE MONEY WE COLLECT GOES STRAIGHT TO TEACHER'S GRANTS!!!!!!!!!!
PROFILE - Unlike last month’s artist who is a new member, this month’s profile has been an SRAA member since the 1980's and has served in almost every office over the years. Married 51 years with 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, she says she cannot remember not drawing. The list of her instructors is too numerous to list but includes Dorothy Mortenson, Joyce Bennick, Fuller Brown, Ginny Wall, Marian Weston and Joanne Blackburn. She works in all 2-D mediums and hails originally from Buffalo, NY. Being a Navy wife for many years, she has lived in SRC for 21 years. She is inspired by the beauty created by God that is all around us. You must know by now that this month’s artist is Angeline Leckie, whom we know as "Angie." .
September "Workshop" 10:30 until completion . . . . . . . . Viking Knitting given by

Jim Miller, known locally as the Celtic Jeweler. He has been making hand crafted jewelry since 2003. In 2007, Jim decided to learn a new style and began creating chains with the Viking Knit.. He will be teaching a wire weaving bracelet. Please let me or Linda Wicker know if you are taking the class by Sept. 22 at the latest; we will then send you a supplies list.

Announcements: The 2009-2010 Roster for SRAA will be produced in Oct. and will include only those whose dues are paid by this meeting.
Don’t forget the Plein Air Show opening at the Wright Center in Pensacola on Fri., Sept. 25. Sally Miller and Janie Seals are members.
