February's Workshop was a lesson in wood carving, presented by Bert Black. Bert has attended the Mid American Woodcarvers School in Nebraska for week long seminars five different times. He is a member of the Flora-Bama Cutup Wood Carving club.

Everyone attending Saturday's class had an outstanding time. Each person left with a smile on his face, and two small carved objects to show for it.

Bert instructed the class how to carve an owl, and a boot. They didn't get to start on the small wood mask, but with the kit Bert provided, it will be a project each person can continue to work on at home. There was as much laughter as there were wood chips while they all whittled the morning away!
